Let's get right into it. Welcome back!
I want to introduce you to a cycle that keeps all of us kicking the can down the road when it comes to big decisions in our lives, something that feels insurmountable but just requires a bit of getting real. If you haven't already, think of a place in your life that you really want to go differently but somehow feels like it just stays the same. And let's walk through the cycle.
Cycle:
DELUSION
DEPRESSION
DECISION
There is a way you think the world SHOULD be. Perhaps it's how it's always been for you up to a certain point where everything changed. Perhaps you crafted an idea of who you should be and what your life should look like that has not materialized. Whatever path you took to get here, welcome to the DELUSION.
Once you realize that there is a reality outside of the "shoulds", there is often a grieving process. You know, denial, bargaining… all that. You grasp onto what you can and ultimately, there comes a time for you to come face to face with the reality that it is what it is. Now, I'm calling this DEPRESSION mostly for alliteration purposes, but it's that moment where you're in acceptance which is still a stage of grief.
This next part takes courage and is often avoided as long as it can be. It requires going inward to get real about your essential nature, the power you hold in being Who You Are. It also requires taking inventory of the survival tactics and patterns you've acquired and perpetuated along your path to try to control how your life goes. This is usually the point that many of my clients call "finally getting over my own BS". There comes a time for DECISION, deciding who you really are and what you're going to make of it.
Building on last month's topic of shifting from judgment-led to intuitive-led decision-making, this is just another lens through which you can support yourself out of unfair expectations you hold on yourself and your life and into a reality where you have choice. As we move into fall, and the world winds down in many ways, we can align ourselves with an empowerment that comes with rest and reflection.
As always, I'm here in email replies to chat through this. If you're looking for a deeper dive, book some time on my calendar. I have opportunities for group or 1:1 work depending on what serves you best. I am also offering virtual and in person reiki sessions for those who feel that energy work would support you.
And for those who are interested in getting a taste of what reiki and intuitive sessions look like with me, I will be hosting a donation-based workshop on October 7 from 4:30-6 PT with the basics for you to come see and try! Sign up here or send a message with any questions!
Thank you for joining me!
