Whether you hit the ground running this month in New Year's resolution tradition, or you are easing into the year with the seasons, there is no doubt that the turning of a year invites a new level of attention. If you've been here for a while, you'll notice that 2026 brings new energy to the newsletter itself which is just one expression of some big changes around Chief Executive Angel. Any time we position ourselves for a starting line, whether it's a new year, a life transition, or a wake-up call of some kind, a thing often missed is structure. We're focused on the feelings of motivation or fear that propel us forward, foregoing the "unsexy" part of transformation that ends up costing us down the line. I'm talking about accountability. We often tie accountability up with pressure and deadlines, burden or blame. I ask you to untangle it from these concepts for this month and see how it could take shape of a bolster, a jetpack, or a scaffolding for your dreams. Set up powerfully and well, accountability structures can be the difference between a hope and real lasting change. One useful tool for accountability is going public with your goals. I'll start. This year, my CEA focus is recentering community by adding more come-as-you-are group options to CEA, collaborating with trusted practitioners, and giving more in my outreach like these newsletters and my social media. I'm reorganizing some of my back-end business structures as well so that things run smoothly to give me more energy to focus on those things. |
