Oh, hello again!
I found myself looking forward to writing something for you all this month. It has been a process of many transitions for me, professionally in the sense that I am inviting in a few new people to work with, and personally in that I am actively opening up my heart to more joy and more love.
Today, as you read this, I'd love for you to take a moment and consider another person who may be reading along with you. Likely, this is someone you don't know, someone who was drawn to this space, perhaps for similar reasons, maybe something entirely different.
This person will read these words and get something entirely different out of them than you did. What can you sense about this person? What do you admire? What do you feel you know about who they are, just from sensing them?
We are all trained in our lives to make judgements and categorize people based on our previous experiences. I'm not talking about those thoughts. I'm talking about this grounded inner knowing, this familiarity that sometimes pops up when you notice a person, when meeting someone feels more like remembering them. We are recalling something deeper, something our intuitions can see and Know.
Everyone is on a different journey with this, so I want to invite you all into practicing strengthening this internal space this month, particularly in a time where external opinions and judgments are louder, more frequent, and often more convincing. Practice shifting from judgment-led living into intuitive-led living bit by bit.
Here are some places to consider:
- Practicing releasing perfectionism without sacrificing excellence
- Practicing receiving compliments without attaching worthiness
- Practicing bringing authenticity without imposing righteousness
- Practicing rest without complacency
- Practicing surrender without giving up
- Practicing letting go of shame without relinquishing responsibility
- Practicing an unapologetic nature without picking up defensiveness
Just as there are modified poses for beginners in yoga, the modified practices above would be to only practice the beginning half of these, before the word "without."
For example, if rest often eludes you, and you're unable to rest without either feeling guilty or complacent, just start with the resting part. Start with putting down the to-do list, and even when guilt or complacency arises, stick with it. See how much more rest you can allow in your day. When that feels like it has formed into a bit more of a habit, practice also releasing the judgement behind it.
To step further into these concepts and support in the practice, I am hosting The Chief Executive Angel Workshop on Sept 16th 2:30-4pm Pacific to workshop some of these practices with anyone who would like to join in! This one is pay-what-you-can, and I would be honored to have you there. Please click the link to sign up or respond here to join me! If you feel called to reach out for support on payment details of a pay-what-you-can structure, please do.
My calendar is also open for 1:1 coaching if you cannot make that workshop or are hoping for a more personalized experience. I am currently looking to work with someone who is in career transition or hoping to be as well as taking on working with someone who has experienced something life-altering, like a plant medicine journey or a big life event, who would benefit from specialized integration work.
Thank you for joining me! As always, it fuels me to hear how these practices play out in your lives. Please come back and say hi!
With love,
Melanie
